The audiences love Neil Simon’s “I Ought to Be in Pictures” — Don’t miss out!

The first weekend’s audiences were laughing in the aisles! Well, in their seats, at least. Two more weekends left, so get your tickets now for this delightful Neil Simon comedy about . . . what else? . . . relationships and all their quirky twists and turns.

I Ought to be in Pictures, directed by John Sams, runs until Sunday, November 22. Brush Creek closes its 2015 season with this classic look at a truly dysfunctional family — or is it?

Tickets are $10 ($8 for seniors 60 and over, children 12 and under, and students with ID) and are now available at our Brush Creek’s two ticket outlets: Runaway Art & Craft Studio at 311 Commercial in downtown Salem and at 210 N. Water in downtown Silverton.

Sams describes the play this way:

“Herb Tucker has a pretty good life.  He is a blocked Hollywood writer that is chronically out of work, but his girl friend has a good job and doesn’t make many demands on him.  He has a good day at the track just often enough to feed his opinion that he could make a living there.  But life is not always fair, especially when his 19-year old daughter – whom he has not seen since she was three – shows up on his doorstep.  Vintage Neil Simon that is sure to tickle your funny bone!”

The show’s cast includes Charlotte Bohlman as Steffy Blondell, Emily Wood as Libby Tucker, and Michael Wood as Herb Tucker. Cathy Sams serves as assistant director.

Performances are at 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 pm on Sundays each weekend.
